Rapides Regional receives 'Capstone Quality Award'

Rapides Regional Medical Center has received the 2010 Louisiana Hospital Capstone Quality Award from eQHealth Solutions.

This award recognizes Rapides Regional Medical Center as one of only 38 hospitals in the state for achieving certain improvements in the quality of health care given to their patients. This is the fourth year in a row that RRMC has received such an award.

Previously titled the Louisiana Hospital Quality Awards – with designated levels of Platinum, Gold and Silver - the Louisiana Hospital Capstone Quality Awards are based on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services' inpatient quality initiatives and recognize hospital achievement in appropriate care for patients with diagnoses of:

  • Heart attack
  • Heart failure
  • Pneumonia
  • Surgical care

The award was presented on April 29 in Baton Rouge.
