Registration Information

Thank you for choosing Rapides Regional Medical Center for your healthcare. When you register as a patient at Rapides Regional Medical Center, you will be asked to provide information about yourself which will include certain demographic and financial information as well as general consent and insurance authorizations.

On the day of your registration, please bring the following items as they pertain to your specific situation:

  • Insurance identification card(s)
  • A photo identification card of the patient
  • Emergency contact information for someone outside your home

You are strongly encouraged to leave large sums of money or valuables at home or to send them home with a trusted family member or  friend. The hospital is not responsible for valuables kept in your room.

Inpatient Registration Information

Admitting: Located in the main hallway of the hospital

Hours: 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday
Closed on most major holidays. If closed, admission services are provided through the Emergency Department.

Women's and Children's Hospital Admitting: Located in the main lobby of the Rapides Women's and Children's Hospital
Telephone (318) 769-7100
Hours: 5 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday
Closed on most major holidays. If closed, admission services are provided by nursing staff in the Labor and Delivery Department of Rapides Women's and Children's Hospital.

Outpatient Registration Information

Outpatient Registration: Located in the Rapides Outpatient Center in the Outpatient Plaza
Telephone: (318) 769-3777
Hours: 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday
If closed, registration will be performed by lab personnel or in the Emergency Department.
