Orthopedic care

Orthopedists are doctors who take care of the entire musculoskeletal system. They diagnose and treat conditions such as sprains, strains, broken bones, arthritis and osteoporosis. Some of the treatments they offer include recommending lifestyle changes, applying casts and performing surgeries, such as ligament repairs or total joint replacements.

Orthopedic services we offer

Some orthopedic issues are relatively simple to solve, while others may require a significant investment of time and effort. Our team skillfully applies proven techniques to address both simple and complex musculoskeletal issues.

Foot and ankle care

Your feet keep your life in motion, undergoing a great deal of wear and tear as a result. This makes them vulnerable to a variety of issues, including pain, overuse injuries, fractures, strains and sprains.

We apply surgical, nonsurgical and medication-based treatments, depending on your individual situation.

Hand and upper extremity care

Conditions affecting the hand, wrist, arm and shoulder are very common, particularly as you get older.

Our specialists diagnose and treat a wide range of both minor and major hand and upper extremity issues. Methods we may use to address these issues include hand surgery, shoulder joint replacement and arthroscopic shoulder surgery.

Joint care

Goals of joint care include reducing pain, improving or restoring joint function and boosting mobility. Joints enable your bones to move, making them crucial for performing activities in your daily life.

We take a conservative approach to joint care whenever possible, applying noninvasive treatments such as knee arthroscopy. When necessary, we also perform surgical procedures such as hip joint replacement, knee joint replacement and robot-assisted knee replacement.

Prioritizing minimally invasive procedures, these can allow for a faster recovery time, shorter hospital stay, less pain and minimal scarring. Minimally invasive surgery is performed through small incisions, while the doctor views the interior of the surgical site through a small camera. In certain instances, our surgeons can gain assistance from robotic technology, performing surgery from a computer while a robotic arm translates their movements with greater precision than is possible with the human hand.

Sports medicine

You may need to see one of our sports medicine specialists if you've sustained an injury during physical activity. Before surgery is ever discussed, we prioritize physical therapy, which uses specific techniques and exercises to improve or restore your range of mobility, flexibility and strength.

If physical therapy is not an option, other approaches we may use include immobilization to shield injured areas, injections, pain medication or, if necessary, surgery.
